Attached to this ticket is an AppleScript called "EyeConnect Uninstall 1.0", that can remove all traces of EyeConnect. This is useful in two cases:
1) EyeConnect users have problems with various aspects of the UPnP AV server
2) EyeTV users have a problem with Wi-Fi Access.
Please quit EyeConnect or Wi-Fi Access, run the script, and restart your Mac. Then, try again.
Namely, install and use EyeConnect again, if you're just an EyeConnect user.
If you're using Wi-Fi Access, don't install EyeConnect - just launch EyeTV and turn on Wi-Fi Access, and EyeTV will take care of the rest.
This script almost always helps users who have a good network connection, but can't pull up or use the Wi-Fi Access web pages for some reason.

More information for those confused about how EyeConnect and EyeTV work together.
If someone downloads EyeConnect 1.5.1, it will appear in the OS X System Preferences. For the sake of this discusson, if it's in the System Preferences, then EyeConnect is installed. That is a full version that does everything related to EyeConnect.
You don't have to install EyeConnect 1.5.1 to use Wi-Fi Access. You don't have to spend any extra money to use Wi-Fi Access.
EyeTV 2.5 and above comes with a version of EyeConnect 1.5.1 inside of it. You don't have to install EyeConnect separately. EyeTV doesn't need a separate EyeConnect installation to work. If you examine the Activity Monitor when Wi-Fi Access is on, you'll see EyeConnect running. That's the version inside of EyeTV - it's not a separate installation. The version of EyeConnect in EyeTV is a special, limited version, which is only for Wi-Fi Access.
To turn on Wi-Fi Access, use the Wi-Fi Access preferences in EyeTV. That will turn on the special EyeConnect server inside of EyeTV, and it will start Wi-Fi Access.
If Wi-Fi Access isn't working, use the script I posted here. That will remove all of the parts of Wi-Fi Access associated with EyeConnect (the version of EyeConnect inside of EyeTV). Then, the next time you launch EyeTV and Wi-Fi Access, they will be installed again.
In conclusion, this FAQ article shoud make things clear:
EyeConnect is not required for Wi-Fi Access to work
